Children’s Loft Beds for Small Rooms

Loft beds are a great way to make a small room feel like a larger bedroom space.  By simply adding an elevated bed, you can place a desk, dresser, or play area underneath it.  This is truly the perfect solution for a child’s bedroom that has to double as their playroom or study room.

You could even leave the area underneath the bed open and hang a sheet or fabric shower curtain in front.  It makes the perfect “tent” or clubhouse for children.  Perhaps, you would rather add a game table underneath the bed.

 

Basic Loft Twin Bed

These loft beds are very basic, but they will allow you to do whatever you desire underneath.  You could start out with a play area underneath, perhaps with a toy chest and a game table.  When you child get a little older, remove the toy chest and replace the game table with a desk, chair and lamp for studying.

Loft Bed with Built-in Dresser & Shelves

As you can see in the photo, it has a built-in dresser for clothes.  Plus, built-in shelves at the foot of the bed.  If you look closely, you will see that the shelves next to dresser is on wheels.  That allows you to pull the shelves out and provides a desk top for study time, writing or game time.  When not in use, simply push the table back underneath the bed.

The shelves would provide fabulous storage space for younger children.  When you child gets older, they could easily still feel very comfortable with using the books shelves for books and the desk for studying.
